FEEDING:
Mercy Chefs is looking for volunteers to assist with feeding. You can register at: https://mercychefs.com/mercy-chefs-volunteer-form/. If you are in the Baton Rouge area and able to volunteer for one meal shift or more, they can put your service to good use. Once registered, their volunteer coordinator will contact you to schedule your shift(s).

SHELTERS:
If you would like to volunteer in a shelter, please contact the American Red Cross at 855-489-2528

DONATIONS:
Donated goods are also being identified and will be posted as well. Please DO NOT send any items without make contact with an organization who will use or distribute the goods. Used clothing is NOT needed, and no organization is accepting them at this time. Cash donations are the best and easiest way to provide assistance for both immediate and long term recovery efforts. Donors are encouraged to donate to the organization of their choice. For a list of Louisiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (LAVOAD) at http://lavoad.org/members/. These organizations are currently, or soon will be, responding to activities.

LOGISTICS VOLUNTEERS: – volunteers help load and unload trucks as well as some will help transport supplies and food to shelters.  Work starts at 7:30am at Baton Rouge office, 4655 Sherwood Commons Blvd and continues to about 7pm.
