Proverbs 18:24 “A man of many friends might come to ruin, But there is a Loving One Who sticks closer than a brother!”
I have made a great sisterhood with one sister in particular.
We often joke around in regards to being twins. We’ve yet to meet each-other in person yet I can say she is my best friend. I find it healthy, to have someone who on a frequent basis you can keep in touch with.Throughout this Journey I can honestly say if it wasn’t for some of the friends I have gained, it may be much harder.
The Scriptures speak’s on friendship’s and the fellowship that we have with each other and what we may gain or loose. It allows us to grow, stay in line, and be guided. It also teaches us of characteristics we should not strive to associate ourselves with. I will share some if you continue to read..
Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with the wise, shall be wise, But the companion of fools suffers evil.”
This is true, as the saying goes –Birds of like of like feathers flock together. – We must be aware, although people may tend to refuse it, those who are around us do have the capacity to influence us. Although we may not submit to peer pressure, we can find ourselves in unwanted situations depending on your company. Strive for those who uplift.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, one lifts his companion up. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they keep warm; but how does one keep warm by himself? 12 Although one might be overpowered, two withstand him. And a threefold cord is not readily broken.“
This is True, Achuty “My Sister” and I may find ourselves sometimes close to falling during difficult times. We are humans, interestingly enough it’s never at the same time. So there has always been one to stretch out for support. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to witness now that I think.
Proverbs 27:17 “Iron is sharpened by iron, And a man sharpens the face of his friend.”
This is True, our daily talks surely consist about life, but we always manage to speak in regards to our daily bread – – We’ve corrected each-other in matter’s in beautiful Shalom. By listening, patience, seeking counsel then understanding in agreement. We’ve shared what we know, now we have both grown and continue to do so.
John 15:12 “This is My command, that you love one another, as I have loved you.13“No one has greater love than this: that one should lay down his life for his friends.14“You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.15“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, for allteachings which I heard from My Father I have made known to you”.
How many of us would truly lay ourselves for each other? When life hits the fan and things goes everywhere, we have always immediately been able to distinguish the wheat from the tears.
James 2:21 “Was not Aḇraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the altar?22Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?
23And the Scripture was filled which says, “Aḇraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.”24You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone.
Proverbs 12:26 The righteous is a guide to his neighbour, But the way of the wrong leads them astray.
